New Music Monday – My Version of the Beach Boy’s “God Only Knows”

BeachBoys

Hell yeah…it’s New Music Monday! This week, it’s my version of the Beach Boy’s “God Only Knows”:

If you can’t play the song or are on an iPhone or Android phone, click here.

God Only Knows

I may not always love you,
But long as there are stars above you;
You never need to doubt it,
I’ll make you so sure about it.

God only knows what I’d be without you

If you should ever leave me;
Though life would still go on, believe me.
The world could show nothing to me,
So what good would living do me?

God only knows what I’d be without you

If you should ever leave me;
Though life would still go on, believe me.
The world could show nothing to me,
So what good would living do me?

God only knows what I’d be without you

    O Derek πŸ™‚ Please take this as the compliment it’s meant to be: your covers are way more awesome when you already know and love the original πŸ™‚ (ok, I’ve just betrayed my poor culture in some areas of music, because I do love all the material I discover through you but I’m French and only 30 so yup, there’s a bunch that may be classic to some but are rarities to me :p)
    Anyway, that song, precious to my heart, lots of Boogie Nights feelings (I adore the faerie hoo ha out of that film, PTA is such a genius πŸ™‚ and it also reminds me of the Corrs for some reason? :p It has something special and so does your cover, a beautiful person singing a beautiful song πŸ™‚
