Hell yeah…it’s New Music Monday! This week, I’m turning the spotlight on a lesser-known song. Billy Joel may not seem like an obvious choice for me, but I’ve always had a soft spot for some of his earlier stuff. That includes today’s song and one of the reasons for that are the lyrics. There are some great barbed lines in this song and I think it’s even more relevant today in our era of instant celebrity and fame at any price. This is ‘Everybody Loves You Now’:

Well done, Derek! I love, love, love the early Billy Joel. In fact, I actually only just discovered this song last year some time. I have trolled all over iTunes, hunting his tunes down. It was very cool to find him here on these pages.
