Hell yeah…it’s New Music Monday! First off, I asked you to vote for your favourite anthemic American Classic Rock song for the 4th of July. Here’s the suggestions:
Of the top four songs voted for, three were “Alone” by Heart, “More Than a Feeling” by Boston, and “4th of July Asbury Park” by Bruce Springsteen. But the song that piped them all to the post was “Boys of Summer” by Don Henley. So, that’s going to be the 4th of July song for next week’s New Music Monday.
Now to this week’s song. This is my version of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun”:

Black Hole Sun
In my eyes, indisposed
In disguises no one knows
Hides the face, lies the snake
The sun in my disgrace
Boiling heat, summer stench
‘Neath the black the sky looks dead
Call my name through the cream
And I’ll hear you scream again
Chorus
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come
Stuttering, cold and damp
Steal the warm wind tired friend
Times are gone for honest men
And sometimes far too long for snakes
In my shoes, a walking sleep
And my youth I pray to keep
Heaven sent hell away
No one sings like you anymore
[Chorus]
Hang my head, drown my fear
Till you all just disappear

Nice.
Never heard this before. Not totally my cup of tea but nothing to do with you, as usual you sound great.
Hadn’t heard this before either, but suits your voice perfectly! Enjoyed it
Good one:)
Cool! I love this song!
